ACCA qualifications have two levels
The Fundamental Level
The Professional Level
The Fundamental Level is divided into two modules:
- F1 Accountant in Business
- F2 Management Accounting
- F3 Financial Accounting
- F4 Corporate and Business Law
- F5 Performance Management
- F6 Taxation
- F7 Financial Reporting
- F 8 Audit and Assurance
- F9 Financial Management
The Practical Experience Requirement (PER) is a key component of the ACCA qualification. Ethics module: As part of their ethical development, students will be required to complete a Professional Ethics Module, developed by ACCA.
All students must complete the following three papers.
Entry Requirements:
The minimum entry requirements are two A- levels and three GCSEs in five separate subjects, including English and Maths, or equivalent. However, since virtually all our students are from third world countries and mainly South-Asia, we encourage graduate students to join the course.
Similarly, for your start in getting towards becoming a professional accountant Regent College offers tuition for a preliminary course such as the CAT. We at Regent College run full-time courses for the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification.
CAT Qualification and background:
The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification is structured and examined by ACCA, and offers you the opportunity to further your career options. In studying for the CAT qualification, you may wish to start a career in finance. CAT is the stepping stone for these aims. We at Regent College also seek to help you develop your skills which will be needed for successful study in higher education.
Entry requirements:
No formal academic qualifications are necessary to enrol for a CAT course. Exemptions Holders of certain qualifications may receive exemptions from some papers. You may also be able to claim exemptions from the introductory level exams if you satisfy the one year's practical work experience requirement
Exemption application dates:
- By 31 January - for June exams
- By 31 July - for December exams
CAT exam dates:
There are two exam sittings each year - June and December. Computer-based exams which are available for papers 1-4 may be sat throughout the year.
Course progression:
Successful completion of the first five CAT papers allows you to commence the ACCA professional qualification at the Knowledge Module level. Completion of all CAT levels means you will be exempted from the three Knowledge Module papers.
