The Organisation for Tourism and Hospitality Management (OTHM)

We at Regent College (RC) Further and Higher Education Division are committed to provide the highest quality of global education and training and among one of the major tools in modern studies is from ‘The Organisation for Tourism and Hospitality Management’ (OTHM) which is an International Awarding Body. The Organisation for Tourism and Hospitality Management was founded in 2003 as a professional membership body servicing the tourism and hospitality industry throughout the world. Because it is a thrust cum growth sector especially in the third world countries, the OTHM studies are becoming popular especially taking into account the availability in the job market.

Therefore, we at RC feel that on successful completion, students will build their successful career pathway. As a result, OTHM courses are market focused and at the RC, we teach and deliver them accordingly. Further, the OTHM courses are recognised as an Awarding Body by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (OFGUAL). OFGUAL is the new regulator of qualifications in England and currently operates as part of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA).

We at the RC have chosen them i.e. OTHM as one of our major Course providers as we have built an enviable reputation for excellence based on global standards and integrity. We are known for the teaching by innovation and for the development of progressive, practical and multi-functional programmes of study. We encourage students to pursue academic goals in Hospitality and Tourism, as they will go back with UK professional qualifications. There are recommend courses for your graduate study or post graduate with OTHM. A major part of OTHM's and RC joint venture is to provide a track of professional management qualifications for students who wish to develop a career in the industry. OTHM offers 5 levels of Professional Qualifications in the area of Tourism and Hospitality. In 2007 six new 'stand alone' modules were introduced to add further training opportunities for students and individuals at work. The long term academic partners of OTHM, the London South Bank University have also signed an articulation agreement with OTHM that recognises the OTHM qualifications for entry into their BA (Hon’s) and Master's degree level. Additionally, recently the Post Graduate Diploma studies leads to the MSc International Tourism and Hospitality Management or the MSc in International Tourism Management with the University of Hertfordshire. For international students who wish to do their graduation from a British University we would encourage you to start at Diploma level, as this will enable you to do your third year at a British University.
