A trip to the Royal Society of Chemistry
On the 22nd August 2014 a small number of AS Chemistry students attended an educational visit to the Royal Society of Chemistry housed at Burlington House in Central London.
The Society is the world’s leading chemistry community, advancing excellence in the chemical sciences. Students were given the opportunity to register as a ChemNet Member, a significant credit to their UCAS application and career.
As members, students are able to keep up to date with the chemical sciences, gain valuable support for their A-Level study of Chemistry and take advantage of a range of benefits that reflect their individual interests. During their time spent at Burlington House, students were able to look around the Library and asks questions with regards to the Chemistry Society in general. Students learnt of the importance of the Royal Society of Chemistry and how its community brings together scientists, teachers, industry and business experts and thought leaders from across the world. More importantly, they help members to tap into a network that offers endless opportunities to make global and local connections, as well as promote and share work, ideas and expertise.
Due to the great success of the visit, all the new students taking Chemistry also joined up as ChemNet members to take advantage of the endless benefits on offer to them.
