CEO and Principal
Selva, a graduate of the University of SDA Bocconi/Middlesex, University, and a qualified Chartered Accountant taught Business and Accounting in 2000 when the College first opened. He also acted as an examiner and has undertaken the role of visiting lecturer at various universities. When Regent Independent College was founded, Selva was very much involved in all aspects of the college and had a thorough overview of the teaching. At the beginning of 2009, after many years working in the financial and property investments sector, Selva decided to return to the College as part of the senior management team. He has been the Co-Principal of Regent Independent College since October 2019.
CEO and Academic Registrar
Tharshiny Pankaj is a graduate of Brunel University where she studied Computer Sciences. In 1998 she took the post of ICT & Computing Teacher at a sixth form college. In 2000 she played a large part in the founding of Regent Independent College and has been deeply involved in the day to day running of the various businesses and been intrinsic in the growth of the Group.
Headteacher
Sean graduated from Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford (MA Oxon, English Language and Literature) and has a PhD from University of London (19th Century Irish Writers). He has a wealth of teaching and academic leadership experience, having held several senior positions in a range of schools including being Principal of an independent sixth form college. Sean joined Regent as Principal in August 2023 and is delighted to be part of the college and the Regent Group. Sean has been a senior examiner for a few examination boards for many years.
Provost
David is a strategic education leader with over 20 years’ experience in higher education. He has led academic and professional departments in the public and private sector with a detailed knowledge of education for both home and international students. He has led academic and professional staff within the international education and has a wealth of experience in supporting institutions in gaining and keeping degree awarding powers, Ofsted, UKVI and British Council inspections. David has a Masters in Applied Linguistics, postgraduate certificate in learning and teaching and is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Chief International Officer
Steve Phillips is a former Chair of the English UK Board. Before joining Regent, he held several senior roles; Director International at Mander Portman Woodward) Managing Director at British Study Centres looking after transnational education and university pathways and Director at Regent’s University London. Steve has over 30 years’ experience in international education industry as a school owner, in private higher education, and in the not-for-profit sector. He taught, and studied, at Moscow State Linguistic University Russia in the 1990s. He is TEFLQ (Cambridge Delta) and is a Fellow at Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Director of Studies
Clare joined Regent Independent College in 2018 as a biology teacher and since then has taken a variety of roles. She is now Academic Manager for NCUK and A level students which involves monitoring and encouraging the students studies and university applications. Prior to joining RIC she taught in colleges and state schools after a career in biological research working at UCL, Imperial College London and IMIM in Barcelona, Spain.
Assistant Campus Manager
Graduated with a Bachelors in Economics and a diploma in Hotel/Travel and Tourism Management, with a rich experience in travel industry, customer service as well as with the corporate sector as a travel coordinator. Joined Regent in 2019, for the Front desk at GTS and moved over to Student Services, then onto the Click English department and currently as Assistant Campus Manager. My association with the various departments of the college have given me a wide range of knowledge and ability to handle students, staff and potential customers.

Chemistry A-Level and Science GCSE
Mukhtar has recently joined our team and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. His PhD is in Environmental Chemistry which he completed at Brunel University. Having completed his degree, he progressed on to do further post-doc research and published papers in national and international journals on various projects in the UK, Middle East and Pakistan. He has over 30 years of teaching experience, nationally and internationally.
English
Mikki has been teaching English to students at Regent Independent College since 2001 and has been intrinsic to the success of many of our students.

Mrs Roberts has worked with a number of educational establishments including Amersham and Wycombe College and Greenhill College, as well as having worked in the undergraduate education sector. Additionally, she has produced a number of conference papers.
Maths and Further Maths
Kumar has been at Regent Independent College since its inception, teaching GCSE and A Level Mathematics and has seen many students pass through the College. Previous to joining Regent Independent College he worked for Ealing College and has worked for Edexcel as an examiner.
Physics A Level and Science GCSE
Raj has been at Regent College for many years now after moving from the Swaminarayan Independent School in Neasden. In addition to his extensive experience of working in both state and independent schools for a long time, Mr. Chakraborty has a unique approach to teaching Physics A-Level and Science GCSE and has been extremely successful in motivating students. He is also an A-Level Physics examiner of a renowned Examinations Board and assists the College with its international admissions.

Dr Mukhtar is very passionate about teaching and has taught in a variety of schools/colleges across UK, teaching Science across all levels, specializing in GCSE and A-Level Chemistry.
