RESULTS AND UNIVERSITY DESTINATIONS

Students from Regent Independent College go on to a wide range of university destinations and undertake a breathtakingly wide range of courses and programmes.

This includes well known Russell Group or ‘red brick’ institutions such as Queen Mary and King’s College, and University of Nottingham alongside modern options such as Kingston University and University of Brighton.

The scope of courses pursued is vast, from Dentistry to Accounting, and from Psychology to Biological Sciences.

“Pupils understand how decisions made will impact them in the future especially in terms of thinking about the next stage of their education.”

Anushka Sharma

Vodafone – Data Analytics Degree Apprenticeship

Anushka joined Regent to complete the A-Level courses that she had started at St Clement Danes. An amenable and inquisitive student she applied herself well to her studies, stretching herself further and demonstrating her capability to organise herself effectively by adding a Core Maths qualification to her programme of study. Her efforts paid off and she is excited to embark upon the first step of her career this autumn.

“I thoroughly enjoyed completing my second year of A-Levels with Regent. My teachers were extremely supportive including the management team. I could not have received the grades I got today without them!’

Anushka Sharma

University of Aberdeen – Medicine

Matthew joined Regent in September 2018 having already achieved a first class honours degree in Law. However, a change of direction led him to return to A-Levels. A focused, serious and hard-working student from day one, we were pleased to see Matthew receive the grades he needed in Chemistry and Biology to allow him to move on to a medical degree.

“The teachers are fantastic, they are amazing at catering to every student’s academic and non-academic needs.”

Mathew Ward
Ilyas Moosavi

Ilyas joined RIC for a GCSE retake course in English Language, Maths and the Sciences. Despite lots of challenges, his hard-working nature and his propensity to both ask and answer questions in class, and help explain concepts to his peers, really helped him develop a thorough understanding of the subject specifications which really paid off.

“I found the small class sizes helped to improve my confidence and the staff were very helpful and approachable. I am very grateful for the support and encouragement I received from the staff. Most importantly, I learned how to learn, both independently and with others, which I will take with me to A level studies. Overall I had a fun and useful experience.”

Ilyas Moosavi
Amal Mohamud

Amal joined Regent Independent College Harrow in autumn 2019 as her parents wanted her to be taught somewhere where they could be sure she’d get more one-to-one attention. This made a huge amount of difference over the next few months and her classroom performance improved continually.

“Due to the small class sizes, I felt as though the classroom environment was a lot more personal. I was able to gain confidence in subjects that I struggled in, such as math and biology, and the teachers were able to get to everyone and ensure we understood all topics.”
