During the course of December 2016 the Head Boy and Girl arranged a collection of food for Harrow Food Bank. The foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area.

Food banks help the most in need, such as those who have recently suffered a redundancy and cannot make ends meet. Non-perishable food is donated to the local warehouse by both organisations and individuals and this is handed out by the staff at the foodbank to those who have been assessed as most in need of assistance.

The food bank plays a vital part in families’ lives in Harrow, providing support at what can be a difficult time of year for struggling families.

Regent Independent College students and staff gathered food and toiletries which was taken by our staff members, Mrs Vinita Gaur and Miss Caroline Shepheard, to the Harrow Foodbank on 19th December, donating 35kg of food for this very worthy cause.
