Regent Student’s on “Go Ape Forest Adventure” in Slough

On the 26th June, a group of staff and students went to the Go Ape forest adventure centre in Slough. After a cheerful coach trip, we started the day by going to the lake which was magnificent, we all walked around it, enjoying the richness of the scenery. In respect of the TreeTop Adventure, there were a variety of different activities that were available, one of which was the zip wire; this one turned out to be a favourite amongst the students who experienced a mixture of fear and enthusiasm. Other ‘tests’ included walking a tight-rope, net climbing, taking the Tarzan swing and balance bridges.

One of our students was scared of heights but embraced the challenge and was delighted to overcome the fear when it was needed and fully take part and enjoy all the different activities alongside their peers. It was also lovely to see the other students supporting those who were a little nervy and encouraging them to do their best.

All-in-all it was a very enjoyable day out for all involved and we would certainly consider returning there another year!
