UK Mathematics Trust Intermediate Challenge
Following the popularity of the Senior Challenge, in February 2015, our Year 10, 11 and GCSE Intensive students undertook the UK Mathematics Trust Intermediate Challenge. The UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) is a registered charity whose aim is to advance the education of children and young people in mathematics. The UKMT organises national mathematics competitions and other mathematical enrichment activities for 11-18 year old UK school pupils. The Intermediate challenge, which is aimed at students in Year 11 and below, involved answering 25 multiple choice questions in one hour and was sat in school under normal exam conditions.
Whilst all our students did very well, particular congratulations go to Julian Navanathan who scored a fantastic 87/135 and earned him a Gold Award as well as the Best in Year. Well done Julian! Congratulations also go to Hanna Hassan who got Best in Year for the Year 10s.
