UK Mathematics Trust Senior Challenge
In November 2014, the College’s Maths department invited all our students to participate in a mathematical challenge. This Challenge was run by the UK Mathematics Trust. They are a charitable organisation who endeavour to bring maths to life to students in schools across the country; one way in which they do this is by organising various mathematical events and challenges. The Senior Challenge is aimed at students aged 16 to 19 and involves answering 25 multiple choice questions in 90 minutes and is sat in school under normal exam conditions.
Our students were highly enthusiastic about showing off their keen mathematical skills and we received some very good results as follows:
Best in Year for Year 11: Haider Razak
Best in Year for AS: Umar Marikar
Best In Year for AL: Jonathan Shwartz-Briskin
Bronze Awards were awarded to Jonathan Shwartz-Briskin, Pratheep Premaraj, Mahul Patel, Bhavesh Nathwani, Umar Marikar, Thupigaa Selladurai and Haider Razak.
The Best in School Award was given to Jonathan Shwartz-Briskin.
Huge congratulations to all those concerned who have performed so well on behalf of the school.
